Lightning Roulette on Roobet: Lucky Numbers, payouts and the XXXtreme version

01What Lightning Roulette is

Evolution unveiled Lightning Roulette at ICE 2018 in a press release of 6 February 2018. The table is a standard European roulette with a live dealer and a single-zero wheel; the difference is a lightning sequence between the end of betting and the spin, in which the studio strikes one to five numbers and assigns each a multiplier. The ceiling on a struck Straight Up bet is 500x.

• Lucky Numbers: 1–5 per round, each with a Lucky Payout of 50x–500x;
• a winning Straight Up bet on a struck number pays the multiplier instead of 35:1;
• a winning Straight Up bet on any other number pays 29:1, which funds the feature;
• every other bet type pays at standard roulette odds.

Six tables of the family are in the catalogue, all from Evolution and none with a demo mode. The original and the XXXtreme table carry the live-casino-picks tag and the provider's own electrifying-games tag.

02Payout table

Only the Straight Up bet changes against a standard table. The reduced 29:1 payout on unstruck numbers is what pays for the multipliers; outside bets, splits, corners and lines are unaffected.

Third-party databases quote an RTP of 97.30% for the game (figure published by third-party game databases that reproduce the in-game help; the provider does not print RTP on its public page). Evolution does not state the day the table went live to operators beyond the 2018 unveiling.

03XXXtreme Lightning Roulette

Evolution released XXXtreme Lightning Roulette on 22 May 2022; the casino listed it on 6 May 2022, and on 22 October 2026 it ranked 483rd by all-time popularity and 167th by recent popularity. The base is the same single-zero wheel with 1–5 Lightning Numbers at 50x–500x.

• Chain Lightning adds up to 9 more struck numbers, for a maximum of 10 per round;
• Double Strikes raise an already struck number to 600x–2,000x;
• 2,000x is the ceiling of the game;
• databases quote 97.10% RTP on Straight Up bets and 97.30% on the other bets.

04How a round goes

The lightning sequence runs after betting closes, so the multipliers are unknown when chips are placed. The steps below describe one spin.

1. Open the Roulette category of the live lobby and pick Lightning Roulette or the XXXtreme table.
2. Place chips on numbers or outside bets before the timer ends.
3. The studio strikes 1–5 Lucky Numbers and shows their multipliers; in XXXtreme, Chain Lightning and Double Strikes may follow.
4. The dealer spins the wheel; a struck Straight Up pays the multiplier, other wins pay their table odds.
5. The balance is updated and the next betting window opens.

05Mistakes and fixes

The table looks like a standard roulette, which leads to three common misreadings of the rules.

06Limits and rakeback

The operator does not print table limits on the game card. The Game Policy sets third-party games between $0.01–$100 as a minimum and $3–$20,000 as a maximum depending on the title, with a money cap of $5,000–$15,000,000 per game. The catalogue attaches a minBet label and a wager-excluded tag to the Lightning Roulette and XXXtreme tables; the operator does not publish what the tag covers, so the Rewards rules below are stated as the Bonus Policy writes them.

Real-money bets on the table accrue Roobet Rewards: instant rakeback can be claimed every 30 minutes, half to the balance and half to the Vault, and daily, weekly and monthly rakeback are credited at 00:00 UTC.
