Roobet Coinflip: player-vs-bot flips with a 4% fee
Coinflip is the one Roobet Original with two parties in a round: an author who creates the flip and a competitor who joins it, with a bot filling the competitor's seat when no player does. The casino takes a 4% fee from the pot, which is why the maximum win is $384,000 on a maximum bet of $200,000, the highest stake ceiling of the line. The catalogue dates the game to 12 September 2023. Verification uses eight ingredients, including the seeds of both parties and the hash of a future EOS block.

Author, competitor and the bot
A flip is a two-seat game. The author opens it, sets the stake and chooses a side of the coin. A competitor joins with the same stake and takes the other side. If no player joins, a bot operated by the casino fills the seat, which the Help Center describes as the bot opponent. The coin is then flipped and the winning side takes the pot minus the 4% fee. The outcome is produced from the seeds of both parties and a block hash, so neither the author nor the bot can steer it.
The fee explains the odd-looking win cap: two stakes of $200,000 make a $400,000 pot, 4% of which is $16,000, and the remaining $384,000 is the figure the Game Policy names as the maximum win. The same arithmetic applies to every pot size. The operator publishes no further edge figure for the game, and this guide adds none.
- the author creates the flip, sets the stake and picks a side;
- a competitor or the bot takes the other side at the same stake;
- the winner receives the pot minus the 4% fee;
- the result comes from both parties' seeds and an EOS block hash.
The Roobet guide opens with an overview of the catalogue, the cashier, the rewards and the licence; this chapter goes into one part of it in detail.
Creating or joining a flip
Coinflip has two entry points on its screen: a list of open flips to join and a button to create one. Real flips need a balance on the crypto side of the wallet; Fun Play covers practice. Players must be adults, and the responsible gambling page explains loss and wager limits.
- Open Coinflip in the Roobet Originals category.
- Choose Create to open a flip, or pick an open flip from the list to join it.
- Enter the stake, from $0.01 to $200,000, and select a side of the coin.
- Wait for a competitor, or call the bot to fill the second seat.
- Watch the flip; the winner is credited with the pot minus 4%.
- Open the flip in the history to see both seeds, the nonces and the block hash.
Each party has its own nonce, which rises by one after every flip that party takes part in.
Limits: the highest ceiling of the Originals
The Game Policy v4.5.0 singles out Coinflip twice: the maximum bet is $200,000, ten times the general Originals ceiling, and the maximum win is $384,000 instead of $500,000. The lower win figure is the result of the fee, not a separate cap.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Minimum bet | $0.01 |
| Maximum bet | $200,000 (general Originals ceiling: $20,000) |
| Maximum win per flip | $384,000 |
| Fee | 4% of the pot |

How Coinflip wagers relate to rakeback is covered in the rewards chapter; the catalogue section below notes a tag that is relevant to that question. The Originals hub compares the ceilings of all 15 games.
Provably fair: eight ingredients
Coinflip has the longest ingredient list on the fairness page. The eight items are: the author, the competitor, the author's server seed from the casino, the author's client seed from the author, the author's nonce, the competitor's server seed from the casino, the competitor's client seed from the competitor, and the competitor's nonce. Each party receives a unique SHA256 hash of its server seed at the start of play, and that hash stays constant until the seed is changed or revealed.
The client seed in this game is tied to a blockchain: for each flip the casino commits to the hash of a future EOS block before that block is mined. The nonce of each party rises by one after every flip. On verification the casino reveals the server seed, re-runs the ingredients to regenerate the flip, and resets the nonce and the seed; the player can hash the revealed seed and compare it with the hash shown earlier, then run Verify Results on the Coinflip tab of roobet.com/fair. The chapter on fairness and the licence explains the commitment principle.

Coinflip mistakes and fixes
The errors in Coinflip concern the fee, the two-seat structure and the stake ceiling.
| Mistake | Consequence | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Counting on a 2x payout | the pot is reduced by 4% before it is paid | expect 1.92x the stake on a win |
| Opening a flip and leaving the screen | the flip waits for a competitor; the stake stays committed | call the bot or cancel the flip if that option is shown |
| Assuming the bot has an advantage | the bot uses the same seed and block-hash scheme as a player | check the eight ingredients in the flip details |
| Betting above $200,000 | the panel refuses the stake | stay within the Coinflip ceiling |
| Expecting a $500,000 win | the Coinflip cap is $384,000 | size the stake to the cap |
Catalogue facts and neighbours
The catalogue of 22 October 2026 lists Coinflip with the studio Roobet, the category provably fair, the tags roobet-games, arcade and wager-excluded, Fun Play on and the release date 12 September 2023. The wager-excluded tag is a catalogue field the site does not explain; the rewards page is the source for which bets count. In the popularity sort the game shares the last places with Striker and Wheel, and in the weekly activity counter it is fifteenth of 15. The Help Center article on house games lists the game by its fee and bot opponent.
