Roobet Keno: pick numbers, five-ingredient verification

Keno joined the Roobet Originals on 29 September 2025 and, on the catalogue snapshot of 22 October 2026, leads the popularity sort of the 15 in-house games. The player marks numbers on a board, the game draws a set of numbers, and the payout depends on how many of the marked numbers were drawn. The policy limits are $0.01 to $20,000 per bet and $500,000 per win. Verification uses five ingredients: a round hash, a server seed, a client seed, a nonce and the player's own selections.

Numbers, draws and hits

A Keno board shows a grid of numbers. The player marks some of them before the bet; the count of marked numbers is a choice, within the range the board allows. The game then draws a fixed quantity of numbers from the same grid. Every drawn number that matches a marked one is a hit, and the payout table on the panel converts the number of hits into a multiplier for the chosen number count. More marked numbers mean more possible hits, and the table shifts accordingly.

The in-game payout table is the only source of the multipliers; the operator does not publish house edge figures for its Originals and this guide does not estimate one. A player who wants to study the table can open Fun Play, mark different counts and read the multipliers without staking. The hub of the Originals describes how Keno differs from the tile games such as Mines.

  • mark numbers on the board before the bet;
  • the game draws a set of numbers from the same board;
  • each match is a hit;
  • the payout table maps hits to a multiplier for the chosen count;
  • the draw is derived from the seeds, the nonce and the selections.

The Roobet guide opens with an overview of the catalogue, the cashier, the rewards and the licence; this chapter goes into one part of it in detail.

A Keno round

The board and the payout table sit side by side on desktop and stack on a phone. Real bets need an account with a balance; Fun Play runs with play money. The game is for players of 18 and over, and the responsible gambling page describes the limits an account can set.

Limits for Keno

Keno falls under the general Originals limits of the Game Policy v4.5.0; the policy names no exception for it. The cap on a single win matters for the highest hit counts on a large stake.

Provably fair: five ingredients

Keno is the first Original on the fairness page whose ingredient list includes the player's own choices. The five items are: a round hash, shown as the hashed server seed on the History Details page; the server seed from the casino; the client seed from the player; the nonce, which rises by one per bet; and the selections, the numbers the player marked. The SHA256 hash of the server seed is shown before play; the client seed can be changed before any bet.

On verification the casino reveals the server seed, re-runs all five ingredients to regenerate the draw, and resets the nonce and the server seed. The player can hash the revealed seed and compare it with the round hash, then use Verify Results on the Keno tab of roobet.com/fair to replay the same logic. Because the selections are part of the input, a verification with a different set of marked numbers would produce a different draw; the exact selections of the round must be entered. More on the system in the chapter on fairness and licensing.
