Funky Time on Roobet: the disco wheel, Digit multipliers and four bonuses

Funky Time is a disco-themed game show by Evolution, released on 24 May 2023 and listed in the Roobet catalogue since 10 May 2023. A 64-segment DigiWheel replaces the physical wheel; players bet on the number 1, on twelve letters or on four bonus games, and the Stayin' Alive ladder tops out at 10,000x. On 22 October 2026 the table ranked 1,003rd of 8,274 games by all-time popularity and 436th by recent popularity among the game shows.

What Funky Time is

Evolution announced Funky Time on 24 May 2023 as its largest development since Crazy Time, with about 100 people involved; the press release quotes the chief product officer calling it the most expensive and complex game the studio had created. The set is a 1970s disco with a host called Mr Funky. Instead of a mechanical wheel the game uses a DigiWheel, a vertical wheel with an LED centre whose segments spell the words PLAY, FUNK and TIME.

  • bet spots: the number 1, the twelve letters P, L, A, Y, F, U, N, K, T, I, M, E, and the bonuses Bar, Disco, VIP Disco and Stayin' Alive;
  • a letter pays 25:1 by default, before any Digit multiplier;
  • random Digit multipliers are generated every round and attached to random segments before the spin;
  • each bonus has its own set and multiplier logic.

The catalogue lists one Funky Time table with no demo mode. The entry carries the live-casino-picks tag and the game-show tags of the lobby.

The Roobet guide opens with an overview of the catalogue, the cashier, the rewards and the licence; this chapter goes into one part of it in detail.

Wheel layout and Digit multipliers

Evolution confirms the 64-segment total and the three words on the wheel; the counts per spot below come from a third-party database, since the provider does not publish them. The number 1 covers the largest share, the twelve letters together cover 24 segments, and the four bonuses share 12.

Stayin' Alive23.1%bonus

Before each spin the game generates Digit multipliers, quoted as 2x–50x by databases, and places them on random segments. A multiplier on a number or letter segment multiplies that payout; a multiplier on a bonus segment is carried into the bonus and applied to its result.

The four bonus rounds

All four bonuses are described on Evolution's game page. Only players with a chip on the triggering spot take part.

Bar

Three glasses each receive a random multiplier. A reel then adds an extra multiplier to one of the glasses, and a wheel multiplier from the main spin, if any, is applied on top.

Stayin' Alive

A machine draws from 90 balls while a 20-level ladder climbs from 5x to 10,000x. Players start with four lives; black STOP balls remove a life, and the bonus ends when the lives run out. The top of the ladder is the game's 10,000x maximum.

Disco and VIP Disco

Mr Funky dances across a floor of 37 squares in Disco or 63 squares in VIP Disco. An eight-segment mini wheel decides the direction of each move, and the round ends when he steps off the floor; databases also cite 10,000x as the VIP Disco ceiling.

RTP by bet

Evolution does not publish RTP on its public page. Third-party databases reproduce the in-game help: RTP 95.99% on the 1 spot (figure published by third-party game databases that reproduce the in-game help; the provider does not print RTP on its public page), 95.98% on Bar and between 95.38% and 95.51% on the other spots.

Databases describe a money cap of $500,000 that the operator configures. Claims of a 25,000x ceiling circulate on some sites; no provider source supports them, and the highest documented figure is 10,000x. Play is for adults of 18 and over; the chapter on responsible gambling lists the limit tools.

How a round goes

A round has a betting window, a Digit multiplier draw and a spin. The steps below cover the sequence once.

  1. Open the Game Shows category of the live lobby and pick the Funky Time table.
  2. Place chips on the number 1, on single letters or on whole words, or on one of the four bonuses before the timer ends.
  3. Watch the Digit multipliers appear on the wheel segments.
  4. The DigiWheel spins; a number or letter result pays at once, a bonus result moves to the bonus set.
  5. Collect the payout and place chips for the next round.

Funky Time is listed in the Game Shows category of the live lobby.

Limits and rakeback

The operator does not print table limits on the game card. The Game Policy sets third-party games between $0.01–$100 as a minimum and $3–$20,000 as a maximum depending on the title, with a money cap of $5,000–$15,000,000 per game.

Real-money bets on the table accrue Roobet Rewards: instant rakeback can be claimed every 30 minutes, half to the balance and half to the Vault, and daily, weekly and monthly rakeback are credited at 00:00 UTC. Rakeback pauses while a deposit-bonus wagering requirement is active. The chapter on bonuses lists the levels and the Rakeboosts.

Funky Time shares its studio and its number-plus-bonus format with Crazy Time, which keeps a physical 54-segment wheel, and with Monopoly Live, whose bonus runs on a 3D board. The branded Roobet Ice Fishing table is the newest Evolution show in the category.
