Roobet Mines: 5×5 grid, 1 to 25 mines

Mines on Roobet is a 25-tile grid in which the player chooses how many mines are hidden, from 1 to 25, and then opens tiles one at a time. Every safe tile raises the multiplier and the round can be cashed out after any of them; a mine ends it. The game appeared in the current catalogue on 13 September 2023, carries Fun Play and Autobet, and accepts bets from $0.01 to $20,000 with a $500,000 cap per win. Each grid is generated from a server seed, a client seed and a nonce.

Grid, mine count and cash-out

The board is five tiles by five. Before the bet the player sets the number of mines; the Help Center gives the range as 1 to 25. The remaining tiles are safe. Opening a safe tile increases the multiplier displayed on the panel, and the Cash Out button pays the stake times that multiplier at any moment after the first safe tile. Opening a mine ends the round and the stake is lost. The mine positions are computed from the seeds before the first click.

The multiplier for the next tile depends on two counts only: how many mines are on the board and how many tiles have already been opened. More mines mean a steeper rise per tile and a shorter expected run. The game shows the exact multiplier for every step before the click; the operator does not publish the house edge for the Originals, so this guide quotes none.

  • 25 tiles, 1 to 25 mines chosen before the bet;
  • each safe tile raises the displayed multiplier;
  • cash out after any safe tile;
  • a mine ends the round with the loss of the stake;
  • the mine layout is fixed by the seeds before the first click.

The Roobet guide opens with an overview of the catalogue, the cashier, the rewards and the licence; this chapter goes into one part of it in detail.

Probability calculator for a Mines run

The form below computes the chance of opening a given number of safe tiles in a row for a chosen mine count, together with the fair multiplier that such a chance would imply without any edge. It is plain combinatorics on a 25-tile board and is not the game's own payout table; the panel in the game shows the actual multiplier for every step.

Chance of reaching that many—Fair multiplier (no edge)—Chance of the next tile—

Pure probability on a 25-tile grid: C(25 − mines, tiles) / C(25, tiles). The game shows its own multiplier for every tile; the operator does not publish the house edge of the Originals.

The calculator covers 1 to 24 mines, because with 25 mines there is no safe tile to open. A high mine count with a long run gives a tiny probability and a large fair multiplier, which is where the $500,000 cap becomes relevant.

A round of Mines in five steps

Real-money rounds need a registered account with a balance on the crypto side of the wallet; Fun Play needs neither. Players under 18 are not admitted. The responsible gambling page explains deposit, loss and wager limits.

  1. Open Mines from the Roobet Originals row of the lobby.
  2. Set the stake between $0.01 and $20,000 and the number of mines.
  3. Press Bet to lock the grid.
  4. Open tiles one by one; the multiplier updates after each safe tile.
  5. Press Cash Out to collect, or continue until a mine ends the round.

Autobet can open a fixed set of tiles each round; the Game Policy prohibits external bots for the same purpose.

Limits for Mines

Mines uses the general Originals limits of the Game Policy v4.5.0 without exceptions. The cap of $500,000 applies to the payout of one bet, which matters for long runs with many mines.

Provably fair in Mines

Mines belongs to the group of Originals verified with three ingredients. The fairness page names them as a server seed from the casino, a client seed from the player and a nonce that rises by one with each bet. At the start of play the player sees the SHA256 hash of the server seed; the seed does not change until the player rotates or reveals it. The client seed is editable before any bet, which gives the player an input the casino cannot predict.

Revealing the seed triggers four things on the operator's side: the server seed is disclosed, the three ingredients are re-run to regenerate the mine layout, the nonce is reset, and a new server seed is issued. The player can then hash the revealed seed with SHA256 and compare the result with the hash shown earlier. The Verify Results button on the Mines tab of roobet.com/fair runs the same logic the game used. More on the method in the chapter on whether Roobet is legit.

  1. Copy the hashed server seed shown before the first bet.
  2. Set or note the client seed and the current nonce.
  3. Play the rounds and keep the bet details.
  4. Reveal the server seed and compare its SHA256 with the saved hash.
  5. Run Verify Results on the Mines tab with the revealed seed, the client seed and the nonce.

Mistakes in Mines and how to avoid them

The demand for predictors and for a free version shows two misunderstandings: that the grid can be read in advance and that the demo differs from the real game.

Mines in the catalogue

On 22 October 2026 the catalogue lists Mines with the studio Roobet, the category provably fair, the tags roobet-games and arcade, Fun Play on and the release date 13 September 2023, the same date as Crash, which marks the move to the current platform. Among the 15 Originals the game stands eighth in both the popularity sort and the weekly activity counter. The Game Policy also names a Jungle Mines variant, which was absent from the catalogue on that date.

Mines can be tried in Fun Play before the first real bet.
